Carnivore Turkey Meatballs

The carnivore diet is one of the most restrictive eating plans out there.

However, with a touch of creativity and resourcefulness, even a simple ingredient like ground turkey can be transformed into a variety of delicious carnivorous dishes!

Today, we’ll explore five easy and flavorful carnivore ground turkey recipes that fully align with your diet’s macro requirements.

Meatballs are always my go-to carnivorous dish to prepare when I have ground meat, including ground turkey.

To prepare this dish, simply combine ground meat with eggs, pork rinds, parmesan cheese, and spices like garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Roll the combined mixture into 1½-inch balls and bake them for about 20 to 25 minutes until fully cooked!

For this recipe, you can totally use 3 pounds of ground turkey instead of the pork & beef mixture that’s suggested.

But I personally recommend mixing 2 pounds of turkey with a pound of pork so your meatballs will be more flavorful and juicy.

2. Carnivorous Pizza

If you’ve been following the carnivore diet for a while, chances are, you don’t even remember when the last time you had traditional pizza.

But guess what—if you have ground turkey, you can enjoy the familiar, mouthwatering flavor of pizza all over again!

This pizza won’t be exactly like the traditional ones, of course, but it is just as satisfying, filling, and delicious.

So, how can you make “pizza” without using flour, bread, tomato sauce, or veggies?

Easy. Just create a pizza dough composed of ground turkey!

I usually use this carnivorous pizza crust recipe (but swap chicken for turkey), and I’ve never failed to make it.

To make the crust, just combine a pound of ground turkey with a cup of cheese, an egg, and half a teaspoon of salt.

Then, once everything is well mixed, transfer your dough to a baking sheet and prebake in a preheated oven for at least 20 minutes.

From here on, you can customize your pizza by adding whichever toppings you want.

Of course, you just gotta make sure the toppings you use are carnivore-friendly.

My go-to combination is creamy mozzarella and cheddar cheese, lots of bacon bits, ham, and chopped-up meatballs!

Once you’ve added toppings to the crust, bake your pizza until the cheese is melted and the toppings are cooked to your liking.

Slice the pizza as you would normally do, and enjoy every bite!

3. Carnivore Burger

It took me a long time to find a carnivore-friendly burger bun that doesn’t taste like cardboard, but I finally did it!

Spoiler alert: this bun doesn’t really taste or feel like bread.

But I’m not saying that it’s worse than bread!

Since it’s made by combining nearly 2 cups of mozzarella cheese with eggs, it’ll taste very cheesy, and who doesn’t love cheese?

I usually add more spices, like onion powder and garlic powder, to the “bun,” though, to make it even more flavorful.

To make the burger patty, that’s where the ground turkey comes in.

Nothing too fancy—just season the protein with salt, pepper, and other spices of your liking.

Roll the mixture into balls, and flatten them on a skillet or griddle. Then, once they’re cooked, you can assemble them between the cheesy buns!

Maybe add slices of bacon, cheese, or an extra fried egg to add extra layers of flavor, too!

4. Carnivore Diet Sausage Sandwich

Sandwiches that use burger patties as buns?

Yes, please!

So, before your ground turkey runs out, make sure you’re adding this recipe to your meal rotation.

It’s as simple as putting 2 turkey sausage patties together with filings like eggs, cheese, and bacon in the middle.

No sauce? No problem!

Aim to cook the egg just enough to have the yolk a little runny.

It’ll act as the sauce of this recipe.

Note: This recipe doesn’t explicitly describe how to make your turkey patties, so have a little fun and cook them the way you prefer.

5. Cheesy Turkey-Filled Omelette

This cheesy, turkey-filled omelet is another one-pan low-carb dish that’s incredibly easy to make.

The original recipe suggests using sliced turkey. But ground turkey (or turkey meatballs) is way more convenient, as there’ll be no chopping involved.

When I was still on the carnivore diet, I had this dish almost every breakfast because it just took off the brainwork from making a delicious meal.

Heads up, though, the original recipe is more aligned with keto and not strictly carnivorous.

But simply swap out the avocado oil with butter, tallow, or ghee, and this dish becomes as carnivore-friendly as it can be.
