I have an older pit boss 700 that won’t turn on at all. Tried replacing the control board and all probes. Still the display won’t power up at all. Any ideas on this problem?

I can`t get the direct heat slide to open.I have cleaned it after every use but it won`t open.Am I just not trying to open it properly are is it stuck shut??

auger will not stop running while on, had it set for 250 and it run up to 650 destroying a brisket.
changed out controller and thermostat no change, temp still runs wild. do i need a new hopper motor ?

Pro Series Wood Pellet Smoker, Starter button does not work. This is the 3rd time we have used this smoker. Can you help?

I have found that if i plug it in and try to start it up right away it does not ignite the pellets. If I plug it in a walk away from it for 5 minutes then try to start it it ignites properly. It is almost like it needs a few minutes to boot up the computer after you plug it in. Also, if you grill in the winter make sure your pellets have not absorbed moisture; they won’t ignite if they have.

my Pellet smoker errors out before it gets to temp. I’ve followed recommendations above to no success.What else should I look for?

My pit boss xl smoker is having issues regarding the glow plug or the igniter is not working properly all of the sudden. The fire chamber would fill up and run over with the pellets which were dry by the way. The last 3 times i used the xl, I to take a blow torch to the pellets as the fell into the fire chamber and get them burning before there were a sufficient amount to get the grill started. The auger and fan work fine like they’re supposed too. # frustrated!

While grilling the Thanksgiving bird on our fb700, the temp. got very hot and it was adjusted downward. Later, we noticed the paint inside the grill had blistered and some paint on the outside had burned away, leaving silver metal. We won’t be eating that turkey. How do we repaint the inside and outside or is the grill a total loss?
